Wildlife
All of the resident birds at Cochran Mill Nature Center have been permanently injured and can no longer survive in the wild. They are now ambassadors for their species and help to teach thousands of children and adults every year about environmental education. Many of our reptiles are "rescue" animals. Our only resident mammals: Egyptian Fruit Bats, may be the only ones on exhibit in the state of Georgia.

Adopt An Animal Form
As a non-profit educational and rehab facility we rely heavily upon the generosity and kindness of our corporate and private supporters. Please consider adopting one of our resident animals. They make a great birthday or holiday gift. Having your class adopt an animal is a great way to incorporate environmental education into the classroom.
