Cochran Mill
Nature Center
Wildlife

Cochran Mill Nature Center is home to a number of animals - captive and wild, as well as native and exotic.  On exhibit are a large number of birds of prey and one of the largest reptile collections in the state of Georgia.

All resident birds have been permanently injured and can no longer survive in the wild. They are now ambassadors for their species and help to teach thousands of children and adults every year about environmental education. Many of our reptiles are surrendered pets and rescue animals. Our only resident mammals, Egyptian Fruit Bats, may be the only ones on exhibit in the state of Georgia.
