Planning a Visit
There is so much to do at Cochran Mill Nature Center! Grab the kids, a water bottle and some comfortable shoes and spend the day exploring nature. The Center is home to many resident animals- visit hawks, owls and vultures in the Birds of Prey compound, check out one of the largest reptile exhibits in the state of Georgia and see Egyptian Fruit Bats up close! Take the kids down to the pond to feed the fish and then over to the bog garden to marvel at the carnivorous plants. Finish with a hike to one of the local waterfalls and enjoy a picnic lunch.
CMNC is open to the general public:
Monday - Saturday 9:00am-5:00pm (Closed Sundays)
If you plan to visit & hike, the Center & its trails close at 5pm. All parked cars must be out to avoid being locked in by the Center's main gate.
