Volunteer of the Year for 2003
Denise Best - Denise Best was our Volunteer of the Year for 2003. Denise serves as the Secretary of the Board and helps organize and work at all of our Special Events. The Summer Nature Day Camp kids get a special treat when she comes and tells them stories about her native South Africa. The Nature Center and Denise were paired up when she brought us an injured turtle in 1999!

2004 Volunteer of the Year
Chuck Miller, our Volunteer of the Year for 2004 (pictured with grandson, Drew), along with Mark Prater, built the Nature Center a pavilion.

2005 Volunteer of the Year
Mark Prater has been a dependable volunteer for the Nature Center for several years. Mark, along with Chuck Miller (Volunteer of the Year for 2004), built a pavilion for the Center. Mark is a wonderful "911 guy" - always there when we need him!

2006 Volunteer of the Year
Michelle Clark is the Director of Creative Services for Hayslett Group. She has been a volunteer with the Nature Center for three years and has designed t-shirts, printed materials and has volunteered at our special events. Michelle has a great can-do attitude and is a pleasure to work with.

2007 Co-Volunteers of the Year
Dieter Franz & Ray Hannah -Dieter Franz (left) of Atlanta, treasurer of the Board of Directors, was named a Co-Volunteer of the Year for the many hours he devoted to the advancement of CMNC's mission. Ray Hannah (right) of Fairburn, past President and founding father of CMNC was named a Co-Volunteer of the Year for his dedication and hard work during 2007.

2008 Volunteer of the Year
Rosemary Gay - Rosemary Gay, a high school senior in Douglasville Georgia, was named Volunteer of the Year for the thorough, conscientious and professional volunteer work she has devoted to CMNC for so many years.

2009 Volunteer of the Year
Bobbie Laminack - Bobbie Laminack was our Volunteer of the Year for 2009. Bobbie and her family have been friends of CMNC since her sons were enrolled in our summer camps. They are now in college! She has logged hundreds of volunteer hours almost every year while continuing to work a full time job. Bobbie Laminack is one of our most dedicated and devoted volunteers!

2010 Volunteer of the Year
Krys Thompson- Krys has been volunteering along with his family since he was in 4th grade. He is now able to drive on his own and comes every other Saturday to make sure our reptiles are well fed. |
