Learn together as a family!

 LEarn together as a family!CMNC hosts Homeschool Day each month, a group program designed for hands-on learning about nature.  Each class is led by an instructor and includes a classroom component with an activity.

New topics are introduced each month so you'll never get bored learning about the same old thing! Homeschool classes are listed by month on our events calendar  page.  Click on the class you'd like to attend for complete details. Programs range from 60-90 minutes and are open to Kindergarten through 12th grades students. Some classes may be recommended for certain age groups although all grades are welcome to attend. Parents are strongly encouraged to participate and must stay with their child/children for the duration of the program.

Homeschool Day Fees- are payable upon arrival to the Center with cash, credit, personal check or check card. Fees include homeschool program & general admission to the Center before or after the program.

$6 per student (K-12th grades) and $3 per adult (over 18). Class materials will be provided for students while parents are welcome to observe & take notes for follow-up lessons.

CMNC Members are $3 per participant child and adults. Family memberships are $45 and include free admission to the Center for one calendar year, discounted event admission, birthday party fees & program fees.

Reservations are required to attend Home School Programs. Registration opens the first day of the month for which the class is offered (ie, Reptiles with Reptile Rick registration begins January 1st).   Private Home School Programs

CMNC’s environmental education programs are designed to enhance home school curricula through hands-on discovery and exploration of the natural world while promoting awareness and appreciation of the environment. Our Center provides the perfect setting for small or large group classes. Whether you are interested in booking a traditional 90 minute educational program for your group or would like to join us for one of our home school days each month we can accommodate you.

Private Program Fees: $6 per participant (includes parents/adults) with a $90 minimum program fee

Planning your home school visit:  To make a reservation, call the Education Coordinator at (770) 306-0914, Monday through Friday between 9:00am - 3:00pm for assistance. Before you call, please review our School Field Trips for information on traditional program topics.
