Experts are always on hand to answer your questions. You will get a chance to touch some of the animals like this 11ft. Albino Burmese Python named “Marigold”.

Our 2008 Snake Day Festival will be August 23rd from 10:00-4:00.  Admission is $4.00 for members and $5.00 for non-members.  Kids under 2 are free.

Come see reptiles and amphibians from around the world.  There will also be guided canoeing, arts & crafts & food for sale.  Reptile experts will be presenting educational talks throughout the day.

Note: Local country artist Jason Coley will be performing from 1:00-4:00.  Come hear this favorite son!

Halloween Hayride

Join us every October for our annual Halloween Hayride and Family Festival. Ride a hay wagon up our long driveway, past the haunted canoe rides going on in the pond and to our log lodge where you will find arts and crafts, games, a haunted house, food for sale, a bonfire and costume contest. Nearly 50 Cochran Mill Nature Center volunteers are ready to see that you have a great time from 6:00-9:00pm.

Our 2008 Halloween Hayride & Family is scheduled for October 25th. Details to follow.

Volunteer Appreciation Dinner

Our annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner is held every January to recognize all of those who so graciously supported the Nature Center by their volunteer efforts. The Center continues to operate due to the many acts of kindness that we receive from our volunteers throughout the year. The Center would not be here without the generosity of a great number of people. Thank You!

Our 2007 appreciation dinner was held on
January 13, 2008.
