September’s topic will be Granite Rock Outcroppings. Students will hike a half of a mile to this very unique habitat. They will learn about the special plants and animals that live in this habitat and why it is so important to preserve it. The minerals that make up the granite rock will also be discussed. We will end with a visit to one of Cochran Mill’s waterfalls. Please bring your own water bottle, bug spray, and sunscreen.
