Saturday Spotlight - Batty About Bats

Cochran Mill Nature Center presents Saturday Spotlight Presented Monthly in 2010 Batty about Bats Lecture and Power Point Presentation With Vicky Smith of A-Z Animals The program will introduce students to these unique and wonderful flying mammals. The different types of bats are compared looking at their physical differences. You will have the rare opportunity to see these bats live and up close. Hands on activities used to illustrate certain points covered in the slideshow will be brought for viewing. February 6th, 2010 10:30am – 12:00pm $3.00 for members and $5.00 for non-members Vicky is a former Birmingham Zoo staff educator and Auburn University alumnus. She has presented several teacher workshops. Vicky produces educational activities for the American Zoo Association’s Bat Taxonomy Advisory Group.
